I Published an Ebook on Obedience

obedience: the story of Jonah

My first book is finally published on Amazon, thank You, Lord! and it’s all about teaching kids obedience through the story of Jonah, the Man who learned obedience the hard way.

Here it is:

It took me a while to do it since I started writing it over the Christmas holidays last year.. It’s probably because I did everything..the writing, editing, formatting and book cover design. That’s largely because I don’t have the budget to hire others to do it for me. It was a huge challenge for me, but praise God for His wisdom, He led me to Amazon books that gave me the information I needed.

In my next post, I’ll share with you those resources since that’s what this website is for.. To share spiritual tips and resources to help us all become healthy, wealthy, and victors in Christ. For those, who, like me, wants to know and learn how to write and publish books.

But for now, allow me to share with you what my book is about.

The series is about Teaching kids Life Lessons with Stories from the Bible.

Well, you know.. Who doesn’t love stories? Stories are great for delivering lessons without pushing them in your face.

And stories from the Bible, the Word of God, that’s alive and effective and sharper than any two-edged sword..judging the thoughts and attitudes of the heart? That’s not according to me, that’s from The Bible, Hebrews 4:12. What could be more powerful than that?

So for me, these are two lethal weapons we have for changing a life..kids or adults. So, I thought why not start with kids? They’re so much more impressionable than adults.

This is the first instalment:

Obedience: The Story of Jonah, the Man who Learned Obedience the Hard Way: Teaching Kids Life Lessons with Stories from the Bible series Book 1: Teaching Kids to Obey

This book teaches kids how to obey, just like Jonah learned to obey.. Though he learned it the hard way. It’s a simple story packed with a powerful life lesson. Just right for kids. Oh, and for us adults too.

Though the book is witten in such a way that kids can easily read it, for those who can already read, it’s so much more effective when the adults, like the parents, read it to the kids because at the end of the bible story, the life lesson is discussed in a way that kids can easily understand and even draws them out to share their own experiences.

I did it with several of the kids I know, read the book to them and we had so much fun discussing about obedience and the kids just started sharing about their experiences.. Times when they disobeyed and what happened to them. I was so amazed.

This book could be a great tool, not just to teach but also to create bonding moments with your kids, whether they’re your very own or your nephews or nieces or kids for you to mentor.

So please buy a copy of my book. It will be a good investment, I promise you. And please take time to leave a review on Amazon… For me to improve as an author, and for others to gain confidence to also buy my book. A 75-500 word review will be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much in advance for your help and support.
