In God’s Hands Amidst Conflicts and Wars
Are you surrounded by conflict, feeling like you’re in the midst of war? Commit your life to God. You’ll live safe and secure in God’s hands amidst conflicts and wars.
Psalms 31:5-6, 14, 15-16 5 to your hands I commit my spirit, by you have I been redeemed. God of truth, 6 you hate those who serve useless idols; but my trust is in Yahweh. 14 But my trust is in you, Yahweh; I say, 'You are my God,'15 every moment of my life is in your hands, rescue me from the clutches of my foes who pursue me; 16 let your face shine on your servant, save me in your faithful love.
In the midst of conflicts and wars
The theme of today’s mass readings is trusting God in the midst of conflict.
Very timely when war is raging on in our world: Ukraine-Russian war, financial crises, personal conflicts, etc.
But do you know that we are always in the midst of war?
We are in a spiritual battle being fought over our souls.
These novels show in a gripping, fictional story the truth that beyond this physical world we live in is a spiritual realm where war is raging and battles are being fought between God’s angels and Satan’s demons over the souls of men. Constantly.
Whether we like it or not, we are in the midst of war, physical and spiritual.
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:12
In God’s Hands
When you give your life to God, you are committing everything: your mind, body, soul, and spirit into the hands of God.
to your hands I commit my spirit, by you have I been redeemed, God of truth Psalm 31:5
Hands that lovingly fashioned you from mud into a living, breathing image of Him.
Hands that have been painfully pierced by sharp, long nails to a cross because of His great love for you.
Know this: you can entrust your life in God’s hands.
14 But my trust is in you, Yahweh; I say, 'You are my God,'15 every moment of my life is in your hands Psalm 31
I remember that childhood song I love so much to sing:
He's got the whole world in His hands, He's got the whole wide world in His hands.
That’s why I like to look at the image of the Sto. Niño, the child Jesus, King of the world, holding it in His right hand.
When I look at the Sto. Niño, I feel like all my worries and anxieties fade away, because my world is still in His hands.
God is still King, He’s still on the throne. And He still holds my world in the palm of His hand.
So even in the midst of conflicts and wars, you can rest in the love of God, held securely in His loving hands.
Now your turn
Do you want to feel secure even in the midst of conflicts and wars?
Give your life to Jesus.
Commit your life into God’s hands.
You can confidently pray like the Psalmist:
14 But my trust is in you, Yahweh; I say, 'You are my God,'15 every moment of my life is in your hands, rescue me from the clutches of my foes who pursue me;16 let your face shine on your servant, save me in your faithful love. Psalm 31
And He will. He will always come to save you.
- Give your life to God
- Live every moment of your life in God’s hands.
- Stay in God’s hands amidst conflict and wars
I commit my life to You. Every moment of my life is in Your hands. I trust You to save me in every war and conflict I’m in. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
This is it for now. Till next time.
To our health, wealth, and victory – GODSPEED!
